Besides ancestor spirits, Kuy believe in other character spirits such as that with the keep track of lizard (takuat) which they think to generally be symbol of fertility. The Kuy perform ceremonies to propitiate the takuat spirit and request fertility from nature. They would also go ahead and take tail from the lizard to use in divination ceremonie
